NEET UG 2026 Overview

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG 2026) is the single unified entrance examination for admission to undergraduate medical courses including MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, BSMS, and BHMS across India. Conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the exam is offline (Pen & Paper) and is the gateway to India's top medical colleges.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: Must complete 17 years on or before December 31, 2009.
  • Upper Age Limit: No upper age limit (As per NMC Letter Jan 13, 2026).

  • Subjects: Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.
  • Marks (PCB):
    • General/EWS: 50%
    • SC/ST/OBC-NCL: 40%
    • PwBD: 45%

Step 1: Registration

Visit the website, create a new account with basic details (Name, DOB, Mobile), and receive your unique Application Number.

Step 2: Fill Application Form
  • Personal Details: Name, DOB, Gender, Category.
  • Identity: Aadhaar Card number (recommended).
  • Exam Preferences: Choose 3 cities and Question Paper medium (13 languages available).
Step 3: Document Upload
  • Live Photograph (captured via webcam).
  • Recent Photo (JPG, 10-200 KB) & Signature (10-100 KB).
  • Left & Right Hand Fingerprints.
  • Class 10 Certificate & Category Certificate (PDF).
Step 4 & 5: Payment & Confirmation

Fees: General (₹1,700), EWS/OBC (₹1,600), SC/ST/PwBD (₹1,000).

✅ Final Step: Download and print the Confirmation Page. Keep multiple copies.

  • Light-colored clothes with half sleeves.
  • Slippers or sandals only (No shoes).
  • No big buttons, flowers, or metallic items.
🚫 Barred Items: Mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, bags, wallets, food items, jewelry, and metallic items are strictly prohibited.
